Welcome to the website for the Community Police Consultative Group for Lambeth (CPCG). 

                                                                                                CPCG is a community led forum for Lambeth residents and businesses to engage with the police and other agencies working together to make Lambeth a safer and fairer place. It gives ordinary people a place to make their voices heard. Anyone who lives, works or studies in Lambeth can join. [More.....] 

Monthly Events. CPCG provides a variety of ways for people to have 'their shout', including monthly meetings at venues around the borough. Your chance to put your questions directly to the borough's senior police officers.

FUTURE MEETINGS:


Tuesday 1st April, Christ Church, Highland Road, Gypsy Hill SE19 - 6.30 pm

The first part of the meeting will be devoted to the Borough Commander's Police Report (Ch. Supt. Sharon Rowe).


The remainder of the meeting will be devoted to the recent Guns and Gangs Commission and resulting Action Plan. This meeting will form part of the Safer Lambeth Partnership's consultation on the Action Plan. It will include a presentation from Professor John Pitts on his report for the Commission.

Tuesday 6 May: Assembly Hall, Lambeth Town Hall, Acre Lane SW2 - 6.00 pm

The meeting will be devoted to an 'end of year' report from the borough commander, Chief Superintendent Sharon Rowe.

Tuesday 3rd June: St John's Waterloo, SE1 (by IMAX Cinema)

The first part of the meeting will be devoted to the Borough Commander's Police Report (Ch. Supt. Sharon Rowe).

The remainder of the meeting will be given over to issues raised by local Safer Neighbourhood Panels.

Tuesday 1 July: Lambeth Town Hall, Assemby Hall, Acre Lane SW2

The remainder of the meeting will provide an update from the Lambeth Stop and Search Monitoring Group and a presentation on policing in Lambeth by the TSG.

Stop and Search.                                                 Lambeth's Stop and Search Monitoring Group is the longest running in the Capital. It's latest report shows that the number of Stops and Searches in Lambeth has been falling, and the arrest rate rising, without any deleterious effects on crime fighting. CPCG for Lambeth relies is community led relies on voluntary effort. It has just one employed Administrator and office space funded by the Metropolitan Police Authroity and project work is funded by the Safer Lambeth Partnership.
